Used hotcam

I found a guy selling a used stage 1 hotcam for a 2007 400ex.

(1) would this fit a 2004?

and

(2) would it be wise to use a used cam?

Yes it will fit an 04, I dont see why the cam wouldnt be alrite if its used.

Ya you should have no problems with it.
I bought my stage 2 used and still love it just as much as the new stage one i put in my old quad

Dang thats a good deal! You'll like the low end hit of the stage 1, I'm assuming thats what your referring too?

No im pretty sure hes talking about the curtis sparks X1 cam.

Thats an awsome cam, Ive road a couple and i really like it.
Its nice to have a little of both worlds because its almost like a stage 1.5 hotcam (lol)
Still hits hard on bottom but pulls good till you get into the higher rpms, I definitely liked it more than my stage 1 on my stock bore motor.

Dont you need to run hard faced rockers with that cam though?
