06 or 07. I have an 07 and has had zero problems. I race motocross and have ridden mx since I got it. No third gear issues.

i have an 08 ltr and i have not had any problems with it so far, i think that suzuki make over 100 changes to the engine and suspension on the 08 ltr.

I have an 06 and have minimal problems. Just your standard ring replacement so far.

Rearry theres not that much wrong with the order ones, just get the ATP birret gears when your 3rd takes a ****. If you have the cash I would get the newer ones though and just avoid that arr together.

06/07 best transmissions. Had issues jumping out of gear but is easily fixed by putting the 08 shift mechanisms in them.

08-up eat 3rd gear. Depending on the type of riding you do your hp numbers and the terrain you ride on will determine how long 3rd will last. I hear the guys that train hard and ride mx in FL where it's sandy have more issues with 3rd gear. I lost mine after a year and a half of Nationals. I have seen some not last half a season though. In 09 they changed the springs on the back of the clutch basket to help with the gear wear problem but they're still eating 3rd gears.

I am in the process now of putting an 06 tranny in 08 engine cases, going for the best of both worlds.

Hope this helps.
