Cool stuff. We had cloud cover here, so didn't get to see it first hand. I guess I'll have to wait another 400+ years to see it again on the solstice.:o

It has a lot to do with light reflection. If it’s cloudy and in your case cloudy and with snow everywhere and there are a lot of outside lights, it can be quite bright at night.
I live about a mile away from a horse race track and when they have racing at night and it’s cloudy, the light reflecting off the clouds will make my yard look like day time.
And when I travel on the road at night you can see the glow from town lights long before you get there.

There's no lights around other than 1 in the facing back pic. I know the town light look but this wasn't from town lights. At night when the clouds are out its pitch black I cant even find the fire pit with out a flash light.

I woke up right around 3:45 and immediately looked out the window and saw the eclipse. Perfect timing :p ... It was awesome to say the least.

A few nights before the eclipse and even recently it has been bright at night.

The first pic is pretty much how we are here in Green Bay even sometimes at 1 and 2 in the morning.
