Yeah sounds like they did a sloppy job.

Im wonder what effect anodizing would have on a frame??

definatly something wrong, most of our powdercoat never scratches to bad, and were taking a lot of roost

If it chips down to the metal easily it most likely wasnt baked long enough and just melted the outer shell of powder. Or they used some really cheap powder.

Yep I am with these guys. It was def prepped wrong or not baked long enough after it was done. Powder is just about the hardest if not the hardest thing out there in paint form.. I have banged the **** out of my frame a good bit, it still hasn't chipped.. As for your sub frame, you should be able to spread it far enough to work..

..you need a girlfriend is your banging the **** out of your frame. On the bright side it probably wipes off and cleans up easy.

..sorry I had to, long day at work.

Powder is great and I powder all my own stuff but only the small stuff...that's what only fits in the oven.

I paint my frames cuz we are changing colors all the time. Witht he cost to have the frame powder coated i can paint my frame numerous times over.

As far as the chips....prep, prep, prep is the key. Plus knowing what the heck you are doing helps too!!

"The Lane" Anodizing is a process used for Aluminum, not steel. However if you had it done on an aluminum frame it could look sick. Anodize coatings are very thin though. I would think it would scratch very easy then the aluminum would be showing.
