What is everybody’s preferred rear tire for a 70? Is there any advantage to running the taller 20" front tires?

i like the itp quad cross mx 18x8x8.Hook up well in the straight line and they work great through the corners for us.

New DWT V2 MX 18 inch race tire, soft, light, and perfect size for your 70. No need for 20's unless you race XC or WORCS. We run the new DWT matching 19 inch fronts.

I agree with the quad cross 18x8x8. We switched to the 20inch fronts last year and my son liked them much better. It raised the front up just a touch which seemed to help in the whoops and braking bumps. Also the big bikes can make some pretty deep ruts in the corners at times and the 20's seemed to help with that. It may not be the case with everyone's setup, bur our DRR liked the 20's much better.

alot depends on your suspension as well. For instance our bike with ATV fourplay suspension and 19 inch fronts, sits up higher than our bike with DC suspension and 20's. Our bike with the DC suspenion and 19's would be unrideable in WORCS.

When my son was on a 50 production we ran 18" snow hogs and Maxxix 940's. He hated the snow hogs but loved the 940's. I have seen some others at the track that I liked but not sure what they were. We always ran the 19" up front that came with the quad. I never tried 20"

Switched to 18x8x8 ITP Quadcross on the rear and 20" MXR6's on the front. My son liked the 20's and it helped in deep ruts. When others were getting stuck, he drove by them. I will take the minimal weight addition for the little extra ground clearence.

after a yr running 19's i put together the razr cross 20"s up front
and 18''dwt's on the rear (hoping this is a good christmas present:) )on a dwt champion in a box set
sounds like it was a good move considering the feedback and we are running xc and ground clearance is most important

Sounds like quad cross 18x8x8 on the rear and 20's up front get the high vote. I just picked up the champion in a box wheels too. Look real nice.

20" Maxxis RazrCross in the front
18" Maxxis 940's in the rear

Once we went to the bigger and higher tires Logan did not slam down on the frame as often. A little extra frame clearance goes a long way.
The wider rear tire gives more traction too. IMO. 8 inch wide rim is also a must.

Joe,
We have 19's up front with 940's in the back but I think we want to switch to 20" fronts and I really like the 18" quadcross for the back, that's what Emily was running on the rear of her 90...............Jeff
