I see alot of post on here about seeing other ppls toys. My other hobby is Tractors. My dad has been restoring old international tractors since i was born. His roots go back to farming and his dad working for IH, after giving up farming he couldnt give it all up so now his ratio is 22 tractors per 5 acres of land (none tillable) haha. So i cant be the only one in here with old iron in my roots, let see them. Here are just a couple of dads pride and joys, his twins..

Always loved tractors... But here in New Jersey most of us will never get the chance to own anything other than the typical lawn tractor :p

You can own them, but I would guesstimate only 10% of the pop of NJ is still farming. Garden state my arse... Course down in south jersey they still farm, pretty much the only place left.

I'm about ten minutes away from north jersey. They still farm here but there is quite a few that are run down farms.

They still farm a bit there, thats sussex county and most of it is run down farms as you already know. Where I am even 10 years ago there were some farms, there are literally 5 left and 3 of them are horse farms and 2 are hay farms. Further south you go there are more but not as much as one would think.

NJ isnt the garden state, were the most densely populated state period.

CJM nailed it. Seems like farms in NJ are disappearing every time you blink. Houses being built everywhere and they're all huge too. The houses just sit empty with the developments halfway finished. Most people can't afford a new house in this economy but they just keep building them for some reason.

I love going to farms around halloween and stuff and wandering off from the corn mazes and checking out the tractors they leave outside. Post up some more guys!!

Yea I'm right by sussex. Nj, no offense to anyone here, but is a **** hole. It is full of rich people who just love to be busybodies.
But even around where I'm from its all run down farms and horse farms. All the old timers that been here 30+ years are shaking their heads.

Funny, section of sussex we once had a rooming house was a total white trash dump. Im sooo happy we sold it and they plowed it over.

I live on what used to be a farm with people from NYC surrounding me. We didnt want to move to this house but it was actually quite affordable and the older homes just werent big enough for 5 people (had grandpa living with us for some time) or handicapped accessable.

Nice. funny story.. when i was in like 5th grade my dad and i went to the local ford dealer and they had a IH 886 with a loader. when we got it the draw bar didnt have a tow mark on it. they had a snow blower on it and thats all they use it for on the 3 point.

dad said i should tell ma to get it in the yard tomorrow.
so i got done with school ma started milking cows and i told her that dad said that tractor had to be in the yard shes like what? and i said dad said that tractor has to be in the yard. she said ok called the dealer and had it brought out. dad backed the semi in the yard went in the house and came back out and walked in the barn and as he walked past a window the sun reflected a light on the glass of the cab and he took a second look and there was the tractor.. they bought the tractor even though he didnt need it.

Its been classed as my tractor ever sense.

dad also got a 766 NF with a gas motor. that thing has power! we cant find anything like it anywhere... they had offers of 20K i dont know why it wasnt sold but its their choice.

Nice tractor

That 766 Narrow Front would be a sharp tractor. Ive tried talkin dad into puttin a NF on one of these 10s but he wasnt having it, he was scared we would get hurt cause we occasionally pull these tractors. The one with the duals in the picture actually has a 466 rollercam motor out of road tractor. We put a 3LM turbo on it and are tossing around the idea of puttin an aftermarket P-Pump on it.......and Dan that had to scare the shiz out of you standing that tractor straight up like the lol, and good touch on the tinted windows
