hey guys, finally got my front end tightened up, I am running Lonestar +2 400EX a-arms, and 400EX spindles, 250R length Elka shocks and a KOQ racing shock relocator bracket. I rode her today, and im getting HORRIBLE pushing from the front end, its extremely hard to turn. I think I have read before the 400EX spindles will cause this... anyways, you guys think if I go back to the 300EX spindles it will correct the problem? Whats everyone else with 400EX a-arms on thier 300EX/250X running as far as spindles go?

ok guys..... after some research and talking to a bunch of people, apparently many people have had a lot of "pushing" from the front end when running 400EX spindles. Looks like running 300EX/250X spindles should take care of it.

Sounds like you've already got it figured out.....

But, I read/heard to just reuse the stock 250X/300EX spindles when doing the 400EX aarms. I just reused mine on my setup... but I don't have any feedback as I haven't ridden mine yet.

You got it right. Never put the 400ex spindles on, it makes them push real bad. Took me awhile to figure this one out.

yep, it was awful, it was like I had the wheels turned, but I was still sliding forward like on ice!! but I was on dirt/grass ! I wonder why the spindles make that much of a difference??

It's the angle, throws everything off.

Hmm note to self, Do not use the 400 spindles. LOL

I plan on doing this front end swap onto my 300. If I can find all the parts cheap.

From what I have seen I will most likely fab up the relocation bracket, nothing to them it looks like.

I saw a complete set for both sides everything needed for the change over minus the shocks, Just over 100.00. I would have taken that just didnt have the money.
