Hopefully there are some of you out there. I have a question regarding my cam chain tensioner.
I know how to set it, I've set it in the past, but I took it apart the other day, and I can't help but wonder how it stops itself from over tightening the cam chain. The thing puts out a lot of force, and doesn't retract its shaft once it goes out. I was always under the impression that you shouldn't tighten it that much. When I put it on, the chain is extremely tight, and it just doesn't seem right. I wish I had a spare 400ex tensioner to slap on there but I don't, and I have to have my motor back in this weekend.
