2006 and up swing arm swap

i'm gathering up stuff to swap swing arms and i know i need the shock linkages but will my 04 shock work? any thing else i need?

The shock, linkage, and dogbone all need to be of the same year range -- all 04/05 parts, or all 06+ and up parts. If you mix an 04/05 part with an 06+ and up part you risk bending the shock shaft from what I'm told. You will also need the 06+ brake rotor and hub for the 06+ swingarm, and the 06+ brake caliper. Obviously you need the 06+ bearing carrier & brake stay. I'll PM a link to you.

I'm glad I did it -- it's sooo easy to adjust the chain now. And the rear brake pads last a lot longer on this setup.
