someone tried to rip us off the other nite. Looking to get insurance for more than cash value. What company do use? Most will only insure cash value which is only a 1/3 of replacement.

next is anyone using a tracking device on there quad? Lojack doesn't make it for off road.

I installed a lo jack type device on a quad last year except it was traceable by the user. He went on a website and it told him where it was. He found it and called the cops. Dont remember what it was called but Im sure you can find it with some searching.

I found a company but they haven't answered the phone lojack themselves don't offer it on off road stuff
Between insurance and tracking I should be covered so I can sleep well. If there want to get in they will

I want to see them get the garage door open then hotwire the car to get enough room to get the quad out.

When I had my 450, Liberty Mutual insured it for FULL value as long as I had receipts for everthing on the quad and photos of everything..... They would cover it up to $20k......

Mines not raced either. Cough 1st place fathers day BPG. Cough cough. One issue seamed to be over 551cc
so the 450 is a different category
Still looking for agent/insurance company :)

Possible, but doubtful in my case. I know exactly what tools and equipment would be needed since i used to tow professionally and would love for them to try and move a truck, maybe a small car tho.

My buddy has a giant chain off a ship and covers his quads outside. I doubt you could cut the chain too easily or drag 4 quads away at once, past a fence or past his car in the driveway.

Best way to prevent theft is to attach the quad with heavy chain and locks to something totally immobile like a tree or a column inside your house or something.

twisted - that dude doesn't work there anymore. I got a little bit more info but still have more work to be done. Need to talk w/ the claims department. they will do cash value $4000 on an 07 450r. need to ck on the extra's - i'm sure ur right about the reciepts would add but I believe that the insurance companies won't come close to what u have in a quad. Its all prorated. Even if u had 15K into it - they'd only give you at most 40%, so do ur best to protect ur quad. vehicle tracking system seems like the way to go with some kind of alarm on the building.
