lets assume i have no knowledge on the subject. to my understanding for a beadlock system you have to buy a full rim set with them correct?

what is the best bang for the buck beadlock system?

whats the most inexpensive that is still good?

whats the best period?

any help would be great! thanks guys!

Yes you would have to buy a beadlock wheel as a beadlock wheel. I know some off road truck guys make their own but I've never heard of it with quads and the smaller rims. Beadlocks are expensive and there really isn't much difference. DWT, ITP, Hyper, OMF are all good wheels and usually the beadlock type wheel is one of their top of the line wheels. Personally I would go with DWT. Do you really need bealocks though? Maybe consider the ITP baja rims that have a ring welded to the bead for added strength.

I am sponsored by DWT so of course i am gonna be a little bias, but DWT makes the best beadlocks... they are light as a feather if you get the new G2 beadlocks!! There Rok Out Wheels are the bomb!!!

Hipers are a good way to go but a tad more expensive the good thing is that unlike aluminum when you bend it you have to buy a whole new wheel hipers you can just by the piece you broke.

Pardon the noobness, what is an offset?

Offset is the spacing to the inside where the wheel bolts to the hub and the spacing to the outside. On the rear 9x8 is pretty standard with 3" inside spacing and 5" outside spacing. This means more wheel is outside the point where the wheel bolts to the hub. On the front, Polaris comes with 4+1 offset, that is 4" inside spacing and 1" outside spacing. This is important to know because there are two popular front wheel backspacing options. Be careful not to buy 3+2 offset when buying wheels for your MXR. It's not the end of the world if you do, it will actually make the quad wider, about 2 inches, but would increase the amount of feedback you get through the bars in rough terrain.

Distance from the center of the wheel to the outside.

Yep!!! 4:1 to puts the majority of the rim over the calipers and a-arms... 2:3 (totally not recommend) puts the most towards the outside and leaves the caliper most exposed.
