Is This a Scam???

I put my 400ex up on Craigslist and I got this e-mail in response...

The e-mail address it was sent from had Marianne in the name so it seems kind of odd. Also, they don't say anything about a quad or atv, just product. Does this seem like a scam to you guys???

yeah basically when you respond to her with your personal email you will start getting tons of spam email. At least that is what happened to me :(

Wouldn't they have to have it to send the email in the first place?

When they initially send the email they send it thru craigslist and they cant do much to you. They want your real email, when you reply to them they get it.

Im getting sick of CL for this reason, dumbasses have nothing better to do. if theyt dont ask legit questions from the offset its bs. I even get emails saying " are you legit?".c'mon

def don't respond to that email unless u want spam or bs offers.

if they dont mention exactly what you had posted on CL, then they obviously are mass mailing these things. Basically if it's general and doesn't describe your item for sale, it's a scam.
