how do you know when your clutch is starting to go on you?
I've been noticing the i have to let the clutch out alot further before the bike starts to move. is this the beginining of a problem or do i just have to readjust my clutch??

That sounds like you just need to re-adjust your clutch lever/cable.

When you shift gears and let the clutch out and hit the gass and the engine revs and the bike doesent excelerate quickly like it should and then slowly catches then you will know the clutches are slipping, and thats the time to replace them.

I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else........

thats what i was thinking....
i tried to adjust my clutch from the bottom adjustment and from there the loser i make it the sooner the clutch catches. and the tighter i make the clutch the later the bike catches?? this doesn't make scence to me:confused:

what is the best way to get the clutch adjustment to be correct????????

Look at the lever (on the handlebars) when adjusting the clutch. You want about 1/16"-1/8" of play in the lever. So tighen the cable till you get that little amount of play, then your all set.
