400ex spindle

i just bought a 08 450er and i have been doing a bunch of research on people doing the 04 05 spindle on the 08 to help the handling. i still have my 400ex spindles and it handled a whole lot better than the 450r. i dint know if i would be shooting myself in the foot by putting the 400 spindles on it and i also had offset wheels on the 400, i know that helped alot. i know it sounds dumb, 400ex parts on a 450..but i was just curious

The 400ex spindle geometry is very similar to the 06 up design, and your brakes won't bolt up. Best thing to do would be to get 04-05 spindles and hubs and upper a arms. An aftermarket stem will usually get them carving a little sharper as well or you can grind a little off the flag of your stock stem.
