hp for 08 ds450

heres the dyno sheet from when i had my 08 ds450x on the dynometer. all it has is hmf full exhaust and pink wire cut. the top run (dark blue) is without the pink wire cut. light blues is with airbox lid on and baffle in exhaust.

Those numbers look very impressive for those mods. I think you may have been snowballed as to their accuracy though. Seems too good to be true.

It may very well be right for that duner and that dyno. I was merely basing it off our numbers of 41 horsepower with the Racer Package that we bought and installed on my 2009. This initial build included the race ecu, "complete" exhaust system (not just the slip on), pink wire cut, we installed a k&n, and removed the airbox lid. Can Am's 51hp claim with their racer package was REALLY bogus. We've got those numbers now, but had to do a whole heck of a lot more than that to get what we wanted.

Their 50 h.p. claim is at the the motor I believe. Every Dyno is different. Dynos are good for tuning.. that's about it.

IMO dynos are good for helping with tuning, an reference.
Before an after mods dyno did those cams really help the top or just lost more mid an top feels better?

I found The quad may dyno good an still benifit from more tuning when its in its real enviroment. Factors such as traction or temp may cause it to react different than it did on the dyno.

Here,s a dyno from the 450 racequad shoot-out the quads were tunned at GT Thunder/R/C motorsports . all quads piped but KTM/Suzuki .The ds450 has pipe/programer/pinkwire cut I think.the yami has gyzr kit,MXR full exhaust.Suzuki cherrybomb/without lid,KTM stock.

Looks like your dyno is about dead-on compared to this one ! this dyno gives a couple hps cause its probably using both rear wheels.All the companys try to say that the hps are higher than they are ! most hp #,s are from crank to make people think it all that they did the same for my Z saying 40hps at wheels when it was around 32 .they all do it .
