I guess you've not heard of the REBEL STAR.....they built a quad with that motor in it.

Funny thing is if you look at the phone number....it's Lone Star Racing's number......So I wonder if they still make them ???

I bet if you got your hands on the motor....which are still produced by Rotax ....you could get Lone Star to build the chassis for ya.

I'm surprised no one on this forum hasn't tried one of these motors yet and given us some feed back

They Rev to 12,000!!!

Would make an incredible TT bike

I posted awhile back about building an MX motor, at the time I wanted to build a 265 PV motor. ...well long story short, I was told there is NO WAY a 265 motor could build 60hp (which is what I was shooting for) without it being a light-switch powerband.

Well Rotax figured it out, why can't the 250r motor build that kind of power and be a rideable motor? Start with a PC2000 PV top end, 265-270 range... etc..

that's the motor that was "originally" intended for the ds450, i believe...

check out the ds forum for too many pages on the 250/450

My soninlaw is sponsored by Can Am & I asked rep Jimmy Odell direct about the 2 stroke deal, he said it was a rumor that got started but nothing to it.

But you can never tell with what is going on in extreme dirt track & 2 strokes.

i couldnt find a price quote for one of these motors. i found a few 125cc versions for around $3,000-3,500 range.
