renewed interest in the "R"

just a thought but with all of the renewed interest in the 250r by the companies such as Eddie sanders, ct racing and others could this be a sign of better things to come for us "R" owners? maybe even new parts from Honda such as fenders and more.

Honda coming back out with parts? no... But other aftermarket companies? Yes i can see that happening. Honda is done with the 250r i believe.

after I sold my '89, I missed the simplicity of the old 2 stroker so much that i bought an '88. Buying oem parts wasnt so easy as a few years ago so I just sold it thinking the days of the 250r were coming to an end. I couldnt resist not having a 250r and just bought an original '89, Friggin awesome to have one again. I've had about 5 differant quads this past year ( '08 kfx 450, '88 250r, '07 Z400, '07 raptor 700r, '08 ltr 450 and Im back to the 250r for a good reason. newer technology is nice but more $ to maintain-rebuild ect. a 250r is definately worth keeping if you have one, dont realize this after you sell yours cuz youll go crazy like i did.

im getting into the r scene a bit at a time when $$ permits lol. It is def a different animal than going to dennis kirk and ordering what you want to put on it or if you need parts for something quick. i searched for a long time to find just the few things i needed for the right price but it will be worth it this summer when i can rip on it when i want to. steve
