all ur bolts are allen head did u do that on ur own or did u order a kit, and what are they made of. I really hate the soft stock bolts on this bike.

have seen old 70s motocycles that used to have philps head bolts changed to allen head with kits with all ur lenghts u needed

Thanks guys. There is a guy on Ebay that sells kits. He is a PITA to get ahold of, but is a quality kit for sure. They are all stainless steel. I pieced alot of them together along time ago, before they made complete kits for these bikes.. But now they sell just about a complete kit for it. If you are interested I have a bunch of stuff I got with the kit I didn't need.. 99% of the bolts on the bike are SS, with only the ones that are not avail being factory OEM bolts..As far as the A arms i am not sure the make, bought them off a 250R. The side covers are stock, I polished them up..

Thanks John

No sent to email from my phone, then to photobucket.. Weird thing is my phone records full hd, looks great on vid, but pics always look like crap after I email them. Prob because they are not a direct upload off the phone..

Very nice bike. An older picture has been the background on my PC for the last couple months. Really like the Silver and Polished look. Got a question though: I noticed the 450 shocks and just wondered how it rides with the extra height in the front and if you are running them stock or revalved? I've got a set laying here waiting to go on, just haven't done it yet.

James.

Thank you.. Umm lets see for the shocks.. This might get you lost here. The shocks are infact 450r shocks. I love the way they ride, yes I did refill them. I used a diff set of a arms, the bottom arms the geometry was a little different then the stock 400's. And the shocks would fit the bike using them, but at the same time would be over extending the a arms, in turn keeping them locked against the ball joints. NOT GOOD.. So what I did was pull them apart, put 3/4 inch spacers inside of them, so they are 3/4 inches shorter then a stock 450r shock, a little bit shorter then the stock 400ex shocks. I refilled them back up to ruffly 195 psi.. I have aired the bike out prob 15 ft, havn't bottomed out yet, but they could use a little more in them.. Hope you got all that..

Do you have to polish those cases everytime you clean it or is it a one time thing

Not every time as long as you wipe the water off after you wash it.. I however do stay after them, polish every thing again about every 3 weeks..
