Are you looking for the 85-86 short rod crank, or the 87-89 long rod crank? Yes, the short rod cranks from Honda are discontinued. If I'm not mistaken, the long rod cranks are still available.

Problem with that is they both suck. Especially wiseco.


Buy a 87-89 OEM long rod crank, and buy a spacer plate. Best bang for your buck

If you go the 87-89 crank route and need a spacer plate to run the 86 style piston, PM me Ive got the spacer plate and the 4 longer base studs for sale.

Hotrods and wiseco cranks are both junk. Don't buy them it will cost you more money in repairs not if but when they fail. I learned the hard way. Just buy an oem long rod and a spacer plate they are well worth their weight in gold. I have seen some original oem cranks in motors that are still good today. My wiseco lasted me 5 hrs ride time tops.

I'll play devils advocate here... I bought a hotrods crank getting close to 5 years ago now and its held up just fine.
Im not sure if the quality control is hit and miss and I got lucky; or if only the ones that broke complain and those like myself dont care to comment of their success or what.
I got mine off ebay from prichert racing or something like that, i think.. that may have been the trick was that they checked the true or balance before shipping

i had my hotrods for quite a while with no issues. i had it trued and balanced. i did not have my crank pin welded. thats a different discussion. suffice to say i have no complaints.

I have an '86 crank if your interested, it needs a rebuild . When I had a case repaired my builder informed me that my motor was a 86 and not an '89. i had a hotrods '89 crank put in and have the '86 still, let me know
