Mxr 450 Problems?

Im thinking about working out a trade on one. Just wandering what some of the common problem are on them. I just remember seeing and hearing about alot of DNF's at the nats. So whats the low down on these things.? Thanks for the help

I've owned and raced mine only a short time, but have had no problems at all. I built it as an XC quad for a local series and it's holding up fine, no problems. I have a buddy on a 525 IRS that has problems when his harness gets wet, but his is an '08, my '09 hasn't had that problem.

Only thing bad I could say is that the plastic isn't as durable as I'd like nor as durable as other brands like Yamaha and Honda plastic. It is harder and more brittle.

as long as you do your reseach on the ktm rfs motor. talk to the southside guys in mass they raced like 200 motos this season no dnf's. My bike has 3 years of racing on it and no DNF's due to bike other than your flat tire or crash.
