I have a YFZ and the frame was powdercoated, the bearing was not pressed in properly and now I cant get the stem out.The gas tank and upper clamp are removed, bottom castle nut and tie rod knuckle are removed.I stood it up and pounded the living $hit out of it after soaking it with penetrating oil,and it wont budge! It spins freely but wont slide out.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks...

Did you remove the snap ring on top of the bearing? If so a little heat always does wonders, just be careful not to overheat! What are you "pounding" it with? A socket and hammer is generally a good bearing press. Good luck.

The top bearing was not seated properly.I was able to use a large c-clamp and take the binding out a bit and several whacks later,it came out!Thanks....
