Work or play??? For Work, FORD ONLY. My dad has blown 3 head gaskets on a 2002 chevy. All under warrentee but the new ones are not out for work. They sell good sport trucks though. Fords do have to be fixed alot but like anyhting else that u have to maintain alot they ROCK.

i've had more probs with my 99 silvrado in the 9 months i've had it that it's driving me crazy!!! a plugged fuel filter left me standed once, then some faulty wiring left me stranded again! the catalyc converter has been changed once, it needs a new fan belt, there is a rattle in the exhaust ect... the guy who owned it before me was an old man, and he only used it as a car, not a truck. my ol' mans 00 f-250 has been nothing short of great. it's up to you, but chev has left a real sour taste in my mouth.

just yesterday i pulled an 02 duramax chev out of the dunes cause he broke a u-joint and the shaft cratered his oil filter. muhaaa. he was barely moving when this happened. those guys had he!! that day. his buddy busted his foot up really bad from landing wrong on a 250r. the emts didnt want to move him much so we put him on a stretcher, then in a chopper and they flew him out to the highway to the ambulance. quite an evening.

Well, seeing as there is 2 chevy's , 2 Fords, 3 Dodge, 1 Mitsubishi, and 1 Suzuki at my house.... I would have to pick an all of the above if there was one :p . In my opinion both manufacturers you list make good vehicles. There will always be some lemons come off the line regardless which manufacturer you look at. But Ive had good luck with both.

In my opinion chevy is who makes trucks at thier best .. they another words are the schizit all over ford's face.. ford have problem's that need to be solved.. not saying chevy doesn't sometimes... but ford its constantly.. one thing goes, fix it , then anothe thing goes..

Ford's are my choice because my wife works there. And for anyone who thinks that one is really any better than the other let me quote my wife," you know what that building on the back of their dealership is?.... a service shop. And they work by appointments too."

Well I like Dodge the most, but next in line would be Chevy, we've always had dependable chevy's.

02-14-2003, 11:46 AM
uhhhhhhh, DODGE:D Then Chevy. I would say Ford at the very bottom of the list! I will NEVER own another Ford!!! I have friends that own Fords and swear by them and havent had any problems, but I think my family has a FORD curse! If anyone in my family buys a FORD it WILL break! Believe me, I tried about 3 myself before I decided to never try again! New or used, Fords just dont work out for us!!!

It seems like ALL trucks have their problems and weak links (I know my dodge's tranny isnt anything special, but towing kicksarse!).
