I bought this aftermarket carrier last yr for my 450R,but it was to long. So im thinking its for a 400ex or a 250R ?
Its measures 7 1/2" long.
Thanks

The 400ex swingarm is about 1/4" narrower than the 450r swingarm at the rear (where the carrier sits).

Isn't it the other way around? I remember trying to mount my RAD 400ex carrier in my 450R swinger and it was 1/4" too wide.
I had this posted somewhere but can't seem to find it. I had pics of the 400ex carrier and the 450R carrier side by side. I thought it was more like 1/8" too. It's been a few years since I looked at it though.

You're right, I do have that backwards. The 400ex swinger is wider than the 450. If I recall, in order for the 450r carrier to work in the 400ex swingarm, you had to mill 1/8" off each side of the swingarm. If you didn't, the chain wouldn't line up correctly.

I can only comment that 707 is correct, the 400ex carrier is 1/8" wider than a 450r. I have a 400ex carrier with a 450r swingarm on my 400ex. I have a 1/8" spacer on the left side between swingarm and carrier to fill the gap and align the chain. Hope this helps.
