ESR adjustable powervalve

Has anyone gotten one of the ESR cylinders with the new adjustable powervalve yet? If so, I was wondering how it did vs. the old design? Does the adjustment actually work? Is it more reliable than the first design?

My bud had one, would not run & sent it back, it would run like crap for a 350. Took 3 months to get esr to credit for a std one.
