Is the battery have a good charge on it? I know after a few turns an it not starting the battery can drain pretttty quick.
On the left side of the quad you'll see the throttle body, on the throttle body there is a high idle knob, it's black an about the size of a button on a shirt. Pull this out and try to start it it's designed for cold starts.
Also, while the knob is pushed in and not running, turn it as far as it will go to the left (counter clockwise) and then starting counting the clicks as you turn it clockwise and stop at 20. It comes stock at 22 but the further you turn it counter clockwise the higher it will idle.
You might also want to try a new map on your fuel controller? Might not getting enough fuel.
How did you check the spark? The way i for sure know if it's getting spark is i take the plug out leave it in the boot and put the threads on the plug against the frame and try to start it in a dark area..
Put a battery tender on it and let it fully charge and give it a go an see what you get.
Also, don't leave these quads with the red kill switch on, or with in gear, there are sensors that draw battery voltage from the ecu that will kill these batterys quick.

i never turn off my red kill switch and i've never had a problem with my battery.

I haven't had my kfx die either with the red kill switch left on..
but a lot of guys on the kfx450hq site will beg to differ
The stock ecu's for this quad are junk i'd recommend buying the procom ecu for 250 dollars, it replaces any fuel controller you use so that's even an added bonus, plus faster starts, no more dead batteries etc;

batterey was on the tender all day n messed wth the idle adjustment...pulled knob in and out turned it etc n it has all kinds of spark. if the valves were out of adjustment cud that be part of the problem?

Yeah, I'm the guy who proved all the battery drain solutions to all be myths.
If you have had a battery drain issue it is the ECU... and the reason you think you have solved it by parking a certain way is that it is a random fault.
As for the cold starting stuff...
Check battery voltage
Check throttle position sensor output voltage
Check coolant temp sensor
Check inlet air temp sensor
Check inlet air pressure sensor

where are these sensors and how do u check them?

Well, the easiest way to check them is this...
Pick up the 2 Kawasaki adapters...
Throttle sensor setting adapter
Sensor harness adapter
And if you don't have one drop by walmart and get the $25 Innova autoranging meter.
You'll need these things around in the future anyways... unless you are an electrical whiz and can tap the wires professionally yourself.
The TPS is on the left side of the throttle body... little gray piece.
The IAPS is connected to the bolt beside the frame ground under the tank. Check it's vacuum line as well.
Inlet air temp sensor is on the top of the intake tube.
Coolant temp sensor is on the back of the cylinder.
You can find and download the service manual for free. All these sensors have tests outlined that you can do with a multimeter.
