I would say to call them they will tell you the work load they have.. but I would think that the sooner you get it in there the best. right now every one is spending there money on Christmas, if you get it in now you will beat the rush!!!!

if your sending a bare head just to get ported you might get a half decent return time, i know when i had my baldwin motors built, i would send them in at the end of december and get them back in march. pretty crappy turnaround times with all the "big" names. thats why i started to just do everything besides the porting myself. Try Toby at Moto-Xperts if your not stuck on going with baldwin or Rage, he does great work

get a hold of chad502ex....DRG

Or Colby a C&D. Everyone is gonna have long turn around right now. Both XC and MX are in the rebuild process right now, so everyone is trying to get their builds done for next season

Send it to Dee at Rage. this time of year is very slow for them and if you tell him you want to beat the rush you should have it back in a week or 2 tops. that is if its just the head.

This question always get me.
Either one will do a great job. Just like the countless other engine builders who have been doing this for years and years.
Its a single cyclinder 4 stroke head. Not rocket science.
Any one of the reputable builders on here that have done 200 heads will do just fine!

Why wait and spend more money?
Just a thought!

Maybe at one time Baldwin Motorsports was backed up for sometime, but with the new facility and new equipment turn around time is approximately 2 to 2 1/2 weeks.
