i am thinking about replacing the clutch in my 08 ltr over the winter, any suggestions on which kit is the best?? I have seen on rockymountainatvmc.com they have the ebc kit with heavy duty springs for $140 and the Tusk with heavy duty springs for $50, both have really good reviews but would i make a mistake by buying the cheaper one?

Don't go tusk all their stuff is cheap imo. Just trip out and put a full hinson in it

cheap doesnt always mean that its bad or low quality, the tusk nerfs i have are actually better than the ac racing ones i had befor, more, solid mounting points and better welds. the driven clutch is a good one and it has the 10% stiffer springs. i got it from ebay i think. rode for years on one in a 400ex. ebc is actually a cheaper product too. if you want name brand good quality and dont care about the price, get a recluse clutch. you def wont regret it. rode on a few but never had the money to drop on my machine. lol:D

for about $240 i can get a hinson clutch kit, my choices now are either the hinson or the ebc for $140. I also came across the weisco clutch kit for $140 but i couldnt find any reviews on it so im not sure if it is a good one or not.

What is wrong with the OEM clutch? I am still running the stock clutch and I am not easy on it either, has lasted thus far with no slippage.

I've tried many clutches in many quads ( for motocross). If it was my quad I would go with either hinson or the OEM clutch. Many people dont think OEM are good... think about it again, they come stock and last YEARS and rarely, if not, EVER slip.
