450R needs to be bump started to get running. It seems to be running fine after its bump started. I may possibly be running the wrong jets in this bike. Seems to always idle high. Is this a jet problem? I've played around with the idle to the point where it's almost going to shut off. This bike will not kick over to start. I just had the valves replaced on it but if the bike is idling real high could that put the valves out of spec? I'm new to this bike so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Also, the bike has a 13 : 1 piston and cams....don't know if that makes a difference with this situation

I would check you valve clearance regardless if it has new valves or not. I always had to check my valves a few days after a re-valve, and guess what???? They were always out of spec.

I agree. It's more than likely your valves.
