Heres the deal, I have a 2007 450ER with an 04-05 carb I just installed. For the world of me, I can't get this thing to stop popping on deceleration. Granted, I know its gonna pop a little, but this is flat out silly. I'm currently at a 175 main with a 50 pilot. With the 50 pilot in, I have it set around 2 turns out. If I attempt to turn it in, the quad will die about 1 turn out, if I turn the fuel screw out past 2 turns, the rpms drop off flat and no change is noticed in the rpm range.
The quad hardly ever backfired or popped when I had the FCR carb in. So Im assuming its a jetting issue and not a air leak issue.
Also, I have the slightest bog off idle. Meaning, if I barely apply the throttle, the bike will die instantly or it will hesitate a split second and pick up and start to rev. That make sense?
Quad specs: HRC cam, Uni filter with a modded air lid and stock needle in stock location.
I guess I'm just wanting to know everything under the sun what to check for. lol
Its to the point that Im about to install the FCR back on.
