best mini??

my cousins are asking me wich mini to get for there kids. So far i've come to the conclusion.

Not a mini raptor cause they are just a badger with plastic.

maybe an LT80 but prolly not. I was thinking a lem. anybody.! something around 80 cc's and thats got good power and suspension.

My best advice is to go out and ride the mini's. I've only rode the Polaris 90. Some of these things can really move. Unrestricted it did 30mph on level grass. I even jumped it some. Nothing huge maybe a foot. I guess the LEM's really move for being 50cc, and the honda 90 is bulletproof. Just my opinion but ride it first and check with the dealer about parts.

I would definately say the Kasea. My second choice would be E-ton. There are tons of aftermarket parts for both. Nothing will touch one with a built motor except a custom built shifter mini and then it still would be a close race.

I bought my son a Honda Trx 90 and I love it. He run's th **** out of it and it hasn't given us a minutes trouble.

beleive it or not the engine in the honda 90 has direct roots dating to the 1950's. It's the same engine used in the original us90 (the honda atc 90 in the United States) and is still a class leader.

Id say go with a honda(trx 90) they seem the best. I think you can get pipes and stuff for them to so when your cousins kids run out of power you can get a pipe or something to boost the power up a little. Just my suggestion though.

Way back I had a 87' LT80. That thing ran great. Not a problem with it. I say the LT80. Its been around for a long time also. The honda 90 is also one i would choose too if i were you.

Honda 90. It is worth every penny. The Honda 90 may be slightly higher in initial cost, but it is THE standard for reliablility in the mini market.

My son has a Suzuki LT50 but he's only 5 so an 80 would be a bit much for him to learn on. I love that thing, great made bike which holds it's value more than any large quad out there.

Kasea makes some nice mini's! But Iwould definately go with the Honda 90!! If you get ATV Action they have had a lot of mini's reviews in there for the last 3-4 issues. They still say the Honda 90 is best so far(other then its pull start)! Those LT/KFX are alright, but not up to the standards.

I dunno, my sons LT50 Suzuki is a great bike. Look in the used bike adds and see what mini you will find in their the most. You'll find 5-10 yr. old LT50's that are still running great. It's a mini that last.... The LT50 should've been a honda it last so long...

i dunna if i would buy a lt 80, my cousins are having way to much troble on both of theirs, one is a 2002 and the other is a 95 i believe... the one has a bore job and some other mods and the other one is plain stock,... they burned through 1 clutch already, but that was due to the fact the dealer messed something up... and it was covered under warrenty... the last couple of months they have had no problems and they run awsome... but the shocks suck on them, i get a little air and bottom out....

they bought it from a dealer in hamilton, the newer one, i think they paid 2 500 canadian... they also said there was a mx track behind it... maybe you ve been there forum..

ok. well. now im leaning towards the sky hawk. I've done some research. the lt's suspension is very good. The honda is most likely outa the question. Its to much money

I vote an LT80! I have to admit it is limited in the suspension department, but it is bulletproof! We have had ours since new ('97) and it goes everywhere the bigger quads go. Easy to learn on... no shifting, the kid can concentrate on riding. Over time, I have modded it to keep up with him. He (and it) is very fast in the woods! Its been everywhere from St. Joe, where it whipped a 90 in a race (when it was mostly stock) to Little Sahara to LBL to Loretta Lynns on the GNCC course.

My son's got an Alpha Sport 90 we are tryin to sell.... long way from Canada though. Quick bike and lots of fun, but at 12 and 125 pounds, the 250 fits him much better.

what about the 50cc mini's......im gonna pick one up this spring for lil man......i like the suki....just scared it wont be fast enough. he rails on the 80 now but its just too big and heavy for him.....any ideas??

he is 4. he has a pw50 that he rides....but wants a quad now also.

thanks QJ.....he has destroyed the tranny and broke a frame on the lil battery powered quads:p i like his pw50....but when the rest of us are on quads...he feels a lil left out i think:(

LEM's are mint, my friends son has one and i have more fun on it than anyone, the thing has to do 25, and its little so it feels like ur flying, also it has a plush ride too
