I'm deciding on a set of tires for my EX. I was thinking 20-11-10 turf tamer rears and 22-8-10 maxxis front pro for the front. I mainly trailride and only do a few mx races a year so I don't want to lose ground clearence or buy two sets of tires. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you mostly trail ride i would NOT go with the tammers.Unless its onlt on hard "DRY" pack.In any mud at all they would pack up.they are aslo oly 2ply i think.

Turf tamers are made of soft rubber too. That means they will wear out quickly. I guess razors or kenda are good brands to choose for trail/race.

What about fronts will the razors work well for mx.

I guess it depends on the track and riding surface. Razors are supposed to wonder on hard packed surfaces but really hook up on loamy and loose tracks. Just what I've heard

for woods riding i think i have a great set up.A friend had holeshots front and rear.then switched to bandits in the front. But he still liked the way mine handled better than his.and we are the same other than tires.I have 21x8 fast treckers in front and 22x11 razorII's in the rear.I like the flater profile tire up front.

YOu need to decide if you want tires for MX or for XC,,,,both have there advatanges for each type of racing..it's hard to make them do both and benifit from it..

id say just go with a set of regular razors or holeshots...also the new kenda claw's are really good..lots of sized to choose from if you get the claws;)
