probably not good to make head gaskets. they are metal or composite for reason. the regualr gasket material can blow out easy.

Yeah cometic makes the one i need but only as a topend kit. i don't need the whole kit because i run a long rod got to have two base gaskets. i had ordered a whole bunch of base and reed gaskets a while back. i would like to have a few head gaskets. yeah gasket material would never hold up by itself.

I have 3 cometic 72mm stock 310 head gaskets. I think you are looking for the bigger ones for the overbore.

Are they the 72 to 74mm ones? if so pm me what you would sell them for. i emailed cometic to see if i could get just the head gasket, still waiting for a response.

They measure 2.850 which only gives .015 clearance on a 72mm or 2.835. I know the piston does not come up that far but you would not want the gasket to be smaller than the grove cut in the head. I can call cometic if you want, I have been set up as a dealer at the business I work at. They are real nice people and usaully will sell anything individually.
