I was watching some you tube videos and seen some on sliders. It said they rev faster than rollers and last longer. So are they better?

not so much performance as reliability (no flat spots) but if you compared slider to roller side by side the sliders OD is a little more than a roller..thus the slider will let you get more travel (push out further) one thing to remeber is the weight is a little off if the slider says it is a 5 gram you treat it as a 5.5

IF they work better its because the company (union material) that makes the sliders is a company the speacializes in the sliders outer cover. The slider stays smooth and slick. They seem to almost wax the channel they lay in. I personally never gave them a chance and they did not make them light enough for my set-up.

We have used Dr Pulley sliders on our quads for over 2yrs.Your biggest performance gain is that you will keep the performance longer as they dont get flatspots as fast as the rollers it seams.Works well with both Apex and Drr stock varios.We have been using 2,5 to 3,5g sliders in our setups.

Can I ask the direction the sliders should be installed? Does the point go towards the center or the outer diameter of the variator?

just watched the video, but my rollers aren't shaped like that. Mine are more like a teardrop with a point at one end and a bulb shape at the other.

Pause this clip after about after 29 sec and watch the imprints on the slider PAT goes agains the center wall and DR PULLEY on top.
