Do you happen to mean the 125 raptor (not the 250)?

Stock Pitster 150 kills a stock Yamaha 125 in our series. 125 to 125 it's a lot closer

Thanks for the input guys,we only have the 150 Pitster available here in scandinavia at the moment, but in our MX racing series in Norway we really dont have any class to run it in,if we want to race the full track at the nationals it has to run in the stock 250 class.Sondre has one more season in the minis(He can move up to 250 class at age 10)My reason for this post was that we had a Pitster available at a wery fair price.I thogth of using it for practice the comming season and have Sondre race it in 2012 but if it cant compete i guess we will get a Raptor or a Blaster.

My son have one Raptor 250 and one Pitsterpro 150cc and the pitster is more like a big bike when you sit on it.
Pitster feels like Tawain machine, raptor is much more reliable when you campare them in stock version.

FISH ON!

My son loves his Raptor 250. It's a great bike to get them transitioning out of Minis. My son is twelve and we race minis but we use the 250 as a practice bike and it has improved his mini riding ability more and more each day. Just gas it and go. If you are going to MX with it and air it out all the time you'll need to do the usual frame work for sure.

Pretty sure we will get Sondre a Raptor or Blaster soon.Sondre has raced against a few of them localy on the Apex and Access and he usually beats them but that is only down to Sondre having moore seat time than the other kids. The Pitster was cheap but i think we will stick to the plan.We will be able to do suspention mods but the engine must be left stock.

Pitser 150 vs. Yami 250, you answered your own question if you are talking about power 100 more cc's wins. As far as handling and maneuverabilty, the suspension and chassis on the Pitser is the winner here. Yami probably will win votes on reliability, but Pitster has existed less than 1/10th of the time that Yamaha has, so take that into consideration. Both good quads, but I think Sondre would feel right at home on the Pitser 150.

What ever we go with i think Sondre will transit well after next season,he is close to a 100 lbs with gear and stands 58"tall now, just want him to get the shifting down before he starts racing the 10-13 250 class. We also have the choice of racing the R-spec 100cc Apex in this class this has about 4hp over the stock model. But i like the idea of not messing with the ctvs anymore LOL.The 85cc Apex is just around the corner but i think this will have a 12yr.age limit.(As do the 85cc KTM based E-atv)

Yea, my son wants one of those 85cc shifted Apex's too. We will see what happens over the next year or two.

I don't know what your classes are like over there Nordic but the best bang for the buck would be the Pitster. When he's ready for it you can drop the 215 kit in it with the v2 head and that thing will RIPP!!!! You're talking about a 27-28hp motor on a 265pd quad. If it's a build you're interested in let me know and I'll send you the info on my builder. I've been thinking about going that route with Jam in 2-3 yrs.

Thats what killing me Rob,we are really not allowed to do much with engine performance until the kids are 14 and by then they can race 450s.
