Race Harness

Does anyone on here do race harnesses? I am looking to have mine done, figured I'd check here first before I went elsewhere.

what year? what do you want to keep? is it er/ fan? let me know and ill highlight exactly what you need from the oem schematic, and you can do it yourself in about an hour and save money and feel good that you did it youself!

An 05. All I want to keep is what I need for MX. No fan.

I dont have a oem 05 drawn up but here is an 06 that shows all different options with the diferent colors. ill do a 05 when I get the chance, but you can see what you need !! if you have any questions just ask

sorry to hijack but i have an 07 er and im converting it to kick, im running a kill switch and no head light so how can i remove that whole lightswitch/starterbutton/ kill button and still have my r start? Also if anybody knows if i remove my battery after switching to r do i need a condensor or new carb, i want to keep my fan, and weights not an issue

look at the drawing its for an er conversion the solid red lines are for your purpose

no condenser needed unless you keep fan and remove regulator/rectifier! and why would you need a new carb?if your thinking about TPS that's just a rheostat working of voltage from your cdi

i read over on the other forum that id need a carb.... idk... But is the fan truly needed for it not to overheat?

just use whats outlined in red and it will work!!! keep fan, and reg/rec. get rid of lite switch... the legend is at the bottom of the drawing as far as different combinations

whats reg/rec? for the r conversionim just gonna leave my battery so what has to stay for that?

reg/rec = regulator /rectifier

why keep battery?????? you just like the extra weight??
if you add kick + get rid of lites you dont need bat.

do you need the carb heater? can you do the 05 race harness please? I want to keep the fan and the temp light, no brake or headlights and im going to be running a kill switch, so no on/off switch needed or light switch needed. thanks
