Ok guy’s I have $400.00 in the kitty so I was thinking about getting a steering stabilizer for the ex.
If you have one please chime in and let me know what you have and how you like it.

Thanks sb47

CCP makes the cheapest Puck Style for your money. I have riden Streamline, Moose, Bilitanium, etc.... stick style, and unless you do a dual stick they suck. Stay with a puck...

Ok thanks

I was just looking around on the web and found two puck style dampeners, one from Precision Racing products http://www.precision-rp.com/stabilizer.cfm
and GPR http://www.gprstabilizer.com/

The one from GPR dosn't show one for the ex.

own a CCP now and hate it. its nothing more then a stick just with stiffer settings and a longer life. I had a precision on my old kawi that the ccp just cant compare to.

Precision is your best bet by FAR! no other stabilizer even comes close. People like Bill Ballance designed it, and they designed it to work!

GPR is prolly your 2nd best bet.

Then the Fastway/Elka.

Elka is just a joke, they cant do anything right.

CCP is your best bang for the buck. Trust me its much better than a stick stabilizer. Im sure its not as good as a precision but its less than half the price. If i were you i'd either buy a good used precision for 250-300 price range or a new ccp. If you email the guy he will sell you them for a cheaper price than he has listed on ebay. I paid 160 for mine and its much better than my oldWER ever was.

Ive also used a elka system 5 and really liked it. It worked really well for me, I think they have a customer service problem when trying to have it rebuilt so its given it a bad name.

If your not a serious racer then the ccp will be more than enough. If you plan on racing a while then maybe the precision will be better.

So far I’m leaning toward the one from precision and here is why. I have seen some of the stick type at the track and I have inspected them and they all had slack in them.
It also seems like it would take a lot of abuse so I think the precision would last much longer. Sure it’s more money but for something that takes that much punishment and needs to last, I think you get what you pay for.
The sledge hammer test from precision was impressive.
