Has anyone polished there header pipes. I have grinded the weld and now looking to polish them if possible. If you have any pics please post. There is a company that does High Performance Coating, they will do onside and out for $65. http://www.hpcoatings.com/. Might just send it to them.

You can polish it.I did mine about the end of oct or the first of nov,It will loose the silver look fast but turns to a nice copper color.i kinda like that look better. It goes good with the polished heatshield. But it is now starting to get a little black up where it goes into the head. Not real bad but you can see it if you get to looking at it.This pic was after about 2 1/2 months maybe.

Rico, Did you do inside and out?

I believe they just did the outside..but looking in the ends of the header it sprayed in far enough that it looks like they did the inside...I rode it in a muddy race this past weekend and mud, dirt and grim wipe right off of it...but they do recommend you buy a cleaner and polish from them to keep it lookin good for years to come..

i can hi-temp pc it. i just did a 400ex headpipe for taco to try out. chris waters sez it holds up very well but loses a bit of its shine after awhile.

i dont wanna do anymore until the ones i have done get a full shake down. i hate trying new stuff..lol

i do highly recomend the jet coat like what rico had done.
