I woudl get a factory one for a XR400, it is just a little bit thinner and will give you a little more compression.

I second that. The EX/XR head gasket will give you a little more compression.:macho

steve, i may have worded my pm's incorrectly. the stock EX400 head gasket is thicker than the XR400 head gasket.

the xr head gasket gives you more compression than the ex.
either one of these gaskets is more durable than a non steel cometic

I would go with the .025 thick steel flex gasket that I have cometic make for the 400ex it will raise the comp and it is much stronger than stock.:)

Is that what you send in the 416 piston/gasket kit?
