i race in the standard class here in ireland. which means my bike has to be standard. so what i was thinking is there any mods i can do besides putting an exhaust. its usually motocross or grasstrack. would it be possible to use an aftermarket header with stock can. im aloud to use a uni airfilter also.
let me know whats ur thoughts. its an 06 er also

Keep it pinned and keep upshifting. Lean hard and do wheelies. You will do good! Stock 450s can be fast if you ride em right

Practice, practice, practice. Holeshots are all about timing and getting a feel for your clutch and where it grabs

every 11 pounds uses 1 horsepower! put your quad and yourself on a diet!! and get you gears dialed in perfect with your tires and terrain

Suspension.

If you can't have after market suspension, get your stock stuff reworked. It doesn't matter how much power you get from a motor if you can't keep it in control.

the last guy is right it does not matter how fast your quad is if it is beaten you up after a couple of laps your going to be slower i have a very fast quad but with stock susp after a couple of laps i tend to loose ground have your shocks re work you will do a lot better

It all depends on how far you can stretch "Standard"- you could install a 05 stock cam remove airbox lid and go with hrc jet kit!
Also cut green wire, hrc headpipe and end cap! About 5 hp gain!

does the 450r cam fit right up with the 06 components. where can i get hrc headpipe?

The cam is a direct interchange- just has more lift and duration!
The 02 crf cam is even better and you can't tell the difference from a stock 06 up trx cam without measuring!
Post for pipe in parts wanted section.
