Well. . . It's worth more than anyone is likely to pay for it right now in this economy. I'd keep it. A wild *** guess on price 3,800-4300$ area.

Nice machine. What kind of shocks are those? The suspension is a significant part of the overall value.
When the 250r was still king of the race circuits, a machine like that was worth upwards of $6k, possibly even more. But those days are long gone.
Just a few years ago I would have said $5k, but as KSRRider pointed out, times have changed.
If you tried to sell it today, I don't think you'd get much more than $4000, which is almost a crying shame, because the shocks and frame alone exceed that.

I think you guys are still off, in this market a complete laeger protrax with axis shocks will go for 4k so this, even though it's pretty clean doesn't have all the upgrades so I'm going to say $3K tops.

I've also seen a few fully built quads, with aftermarket frames, go for $3500, but they were race quads. They were beat up and abused. I've never seen a clean quad with an aftermarket frame go for less than $3500.

i almost picked up a lsr framed 250r last year on craigslist for $2500. had aftermarket swinger, a arms, and shocks. so if you look at the right times deals can be found. just think of how many ads you've missed b/c someone posted their ad and sold the product within 2-3hrs then deleted the ad ;). happens everyday

Yeah, but the reason it sells in a heartbeat is because it's a steal of a deal, it's below market value. List your house for $20k and you'll have it sold this afternoon, that's not any sort of indication at all of the fair market value.
If I list a quad for $100, that doesn't mean the next guy's quad is only worth $100.

Im one of the "guys" that said the quad is worth 3750 based on what ive seen on line!!!! how is that saying that there arnt the ocassional great buy?
we are talking about the value of THIS quad compaired to whats out there!! not someone selling everything to save a house.

I think things are different here in CA than back east. Out here you'd be hard pressed to find a running 250r on craigs for less than 2500 period. Anyone with a pipe and a set of paddles think their crap is worth 3K. The retarded thing here is that aftermarket framed bikes with all the goodies only go for 800 - 1000 more than a stock frame with a 310 cyl and a-arms.
I bought my Laeger bike from a friend of mine that gave me a very good deal back in '06. I paid $3500 as a roller, now finished I have over 13K in it.
I realize that times are tough but $3750 is just a painfull prison shower to who ever is selling it.... God I hate this freaking economy.. LOL
