Without getting an expensive software program, anybody know a way to edit a PDF file?

A lot of them have graphics that can't easily be edited because they're pictures, they aren't text. But my particular issue is simple text, I can even select it, and copy and paste the text into another program. But I can't edit the PDF itself (which is kinda the point of a PDF, I know).

Anybody have any programs? I'm hoping maybe the Photoshop package has a PDF editor, since it's all licenced by Adobe, maybe somebody can help me out.

Probably the easiest way would be to save the PDF in Acrobat as a Word document, make your edits in Word, and then save it again as a PDF. However, I'm pretty sure when you save a Word document as a PDF, you lose the capability to search for words. There's a tool in the newest version of Acrobat, that allows you to convert it to a searchable document. (Atleast I think it's Acrobat, it may be another Adobe product.)

Download a trial verision of Adobe Acrobat. I believe it's a 45 day trial. That's what I used to edit PDF's when I needed to. You can buy it but it's like $500 .
