I emailed him tellin him I had cash, and ask for his phone number, this is the reply I got.

I am selling this Honda TRX450r because my squadron has been sent back
to Afghanistan. The price is low because I need to sell it fast. The quad is
in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage,
slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear
title. The quad has 4 hours, year 2004, electric start, reverse, shaft
drive, Manual Transmission, 450 cc Engine. It is still available for sale
if interested. The quad is located at Fort Irwin, CA, in case it gets sold I

Whenever a vehicle or item has the thing written like a dealer at the top I dont usually bother.

Most people also dont write ads like that, I bet the entire thing is a copy/paste.

I got the same reply about a 2k 08 ltr for sale on my local craigslist. Except for the info on the actual bike. If the price looks to good its always these damm scammers!

Every now and then? It seems like its every other post on Craigslist. There are some great deals on there, but for every REAL good deal there are 5 scams. Its kinda ridiculous.

When I think something like this is a scam, I copy and paste the description in google and see how many places it shows up. Usually it is many different Craigslist ads and then I know for sure it is a scam.

it was for sale on atv scene, i bought it from him a couple months ago and had it shipped here in phx, the funny thing is as soon as it got here and i took it home my buddy called me and told me someone is selling the bike i just bought on craigslist here in phx, i thought he was joking till i actually seen it. pretty freekin crazy of some people, just wait till one person that they scam comes and hunts them down

What exactly is the scam on craigslist? Are people just trying to screw you into driving far for nothing or what is the purpose of scaming on craigslist? I don't get it.

They want your email. What they hope is to get your email and spam the crap out of you.

OR

They want you to give them your bank/paypal info and pay them in some phony paypal escrow and steal your cash.
