So what is the best Exhaust for MX? I have a White Bros E-Series.

that one is one of the better setups around. check out the shootouts and see which one has good mid range. the t4 will have the most hp at around 4-5000 rpms. steve

I have seen some guys take the plates and spark arrestor out of the E-Series, what are your thoughts? is there any gains to this?

i think there is some to gain and it makes for a nice exhaust when you can tune the plates. less plates is more low end on them i think so i would say that around 5 plates would be a nice setup. I cant remember how many dallas uses on his. he will find this and reply though. steve

Haven't looked at the quad in a while but I think I run 5 discs with the S/A in which makes a nice sweet spot for low to mid range power. I've taken the arrester out but left the 5 discs in and noticed alittle drop in throttle response as well as mid range power. I've also had all the discs in and left the arrestor out and noticed an increase in top end power only, there was a more noticeable drop in throttle response as well as low end. For me keeping in the S/A in made the most outta what I wanted for a power curve.

Granted this will all depend on elevation and jetting and gearing.

ive seen numerous 400ex with HMF pipes both slip on and full and they all made great power and were easy to jet and sounded great. :D

I saw in one of the shootouts and Curtis sparks had the most horsepower, I'm getting one for Christmas. They sound really sweet

I personally love my GT Thunder. Extremely loud, but allows it to breath like not other. I believe the Curtis Sparks has a lot of similarities to it.
