Hey everyone! I'm on the SAE Baja team at Ohio Northern University, and each year we build a small off road race car that we race all around the country against schools from all over the country and a few teams from around the world. This year, we are required to give a "sales presentation" where we pitch our idea to potential investors and explain how we would produce this on a mass production scale. I'd like to get an idea of a realistic retail price the general public would be willing to pay, so if you guys wouldn't mind, could you please post what (specific) price you'd be willing to pay for this? An image is attached, and here are some specs:

10 hp Briggs engine (limited by competition rules)
Polaris CVT with F-N-R transmission
Fox Float air shocks all around with ~9 in. of suspension travel on all 4 corners
Hiper C.F. single beadlock rims
450 lbs
top speed 32 mph

If anyone has any questions please let me know! Thanks in advance!

For what you see in the picture, I would say we spent around $6,000. However, that's not my question. It obviously costs less per unit to manufacture 4000 units than to manufacture 1 unit. Also, I don't want to base our MSRP off of what it costs to build. I want to know what consumers (you guys) would be willing to pay if you saw this car on the showroom floor at your local dealership. Sure, I could randomly pick a number, but that's useless if no one would pay that price. I'm also working on calculating what it would cost per unit to build in mass production, and from there I can figure out profit margins and all that fun stuff. This is what the "investors" really want to know: how much profit will we make per car, and how fast they'll be able to start making money on their investment.

10-12k at most. Figure its a big scale production and such so you cant market it like a custom one or two off kinda item.

I figured on it being slightly under RZR prices since it's underpowered and only a one seater. Also, don't factor in how much work it takes to build one, since this will be produced in an assembly line type factory.

not 15k in materials....that was price i think it would be worth. at the production level.
