what do i need for 416?!?!?

hey i know this thread is worn out , i was wondering what i will need to do a 416 or possibly a 425??? i mean i wont to order the parts and take them straight to the dealer and have them put them on , i want to know EVERYTHING i need , and prices, if the price is good for a 425 im going with it but until i know im sticking with 416 i plan on racing tt but i also ride trails and play drag racing and i want alot of power, do you think with the 425 i will be able to run with or even beat stocks raps , or predators, thanks!!

It really just depends on how much you want to dump into it.It can go into the 1000's or you can go the cheaper route.Im in the process of doing it myself.Piston will be the same with either 416 or 426.May be a little more for higher compression,not sure.I got a Ross 87mm(416) and cometic gasket kit for $140 through C@D.A hotcam stage 2 for $129.Saw em as low as $116.And im getting valve seals from Xrider for $15.Gonna cost around $50 to bore the cyclinder,give or take $10.And im doing all the work myself $00.Clymer book $25.If you take it to your dealer expect to pay$200-350 for them to do it.Plus parts.If there is a shop(not a dealer) near you you could probably save some on labor.But i took the cheaper route.There is alot more that could be done with this.Port &polish,Decking,valves,valve job,rockers,guides,just to name a few.How much cash have you got is the question.BTW if you want that sparks national kit i hope you have got atleast $1000 to put in it probably alot more.
