More power for 300ex

OK, heres whats up. I have a 97 300ex stock :( I need more power. I would like to be able to beat stock warriors and run with 400s. I have about 600 to spend. Any suggestions????? Heres what i have in mind so far.

14 tooth sprocket (more top end)
White bros E-series. (full pipe or just the slip on?)
K&N or other filter...like to run with no air box lid.
And jetting mods.....(what sizes???)


Any help would be appriciated.

Pipe, filter, jets, are a good start.

Of corse you could just NOT worry about power and get some new suspension......:devil

with 600 you wont be able to beta or keep up with 400ex's, MAYBE warriors, anyway you could get the white bros e series pro meg for like 400 bucks, then you should buy the header seperate cause you have to and they only make the pro meg for 300's, but the complete system will be around 400 bucks then a k&n filter and take off your airbox cover then re jet

Stock 400Ex carb will give ya some good gains as well.

It just so happens I have one for sale. 75 bucks and it is yours.

ooo i would just shave the inside header to try to open it up a little bit and work on something else, but i dont have experience with 300s:ermm:

Thanks alot guys! I wasnt expecting this many replies but its great. Ok, what ill do is get a full pipe system, k&N airfliter with prefilter...run with airbox lid out....and rejet.

What do you guys think about a 14 tooth sprocket? Or waht size (front and rear) do you recomend??

Also...has anyone had experience with a FMF MegaMax II Pipe....I can get the Muffler and head pipe out of dennis kirk for 240$ + tax.

And...what would a high compression piston do for me and how much would i be looking at for this.

Maybe ill splurge for the 313 bore kit and add full exhaust, k&n, re-jet, and run a 14 tooth sprocket.

For all that i would be lookin at around 600-700 right?

yes for the bare minum 313 i think it is about 315 bucks from powroll, just a high comp piston will be about 80-100 bucks
