i drained my oil last night and the right side was milky. what does this mean? it is on a 04 450r

water, what is that? it hasn't rained here for weeks! haha. no i didn't sink it. i changed it after the ironman and it wasn't milky looking.

didnt that race have a stream to go through? idk thats weird man..the only time i seen that on my buddies bike was when he had the oil mixed with water.

maybe it was. it is being torn down anyway. i was just wondering. that race was either really dusty or really wet seemed like

Head gasket... When they go they let coolant into the case making the oil milky. If you are tearing it down anyhow you'll fix it with new gaskets. Make sure the head and cylinder mating surfaces are true and not warped.

^^ You said right side. That is the clutch side. It's probably the water pump seal.

lol... I didn't read that part the first time...

Head gasket would turn crank side milky.

somebody else said it might be from the weather changing like it does in indiana. could be a little moisture on the clutch side. coolant level is good.

If it turned milky, it isn't a little moisture.

X2 not moisture you have a leak of coolant maybe slow but needs to be addressed im betting water pump probably needs a new pump shaft they get groove worn in around the seal or could be the seal...
