Anyone using the DC engine relocation kit got a quick photo of the mount they can post? seems like the bolt on top is too short, and the spacing on the lower to the engine is to wide. I must be missing something.

Call Dave - 501-679-5780. I recall that there is a right way AND wrong way to install.

we got one on Jordans quad. I will take a pic this afternoon. We added a longer shock and with more travel the chain hit the bracket just a little so we had to shim both sprockets over just a little. I think our engine mount was sprung just a little so we mounted the rear and left it loose then mount the front. I noticed that when we tightened it up it pulled the engine mounts in a little, just barely fit but we havent had any problems since we put it on a couple months ago.

Bruce,

I'll take you up on those photos later on if you can post. looks like there are three possibilities for the rear mounts, and 2 for the fronts.

on the rear, can drop straight, or (flipping mounts) pitch motor forward or aft. on the front mounts, can angle them forward or rear.

going through each of those possibilities I'm still not getting it to line up. I am now an expert on how NOT to mount this thing, really bugging me.

I do have some extra guessets aft that might be in the way if this needs to pitch the motor rear, but seems way far back in that position. I've already ground down the motor side mount brackets and chiseled off the frame bolts trying to get this to work. would like to figure it before I go grinding on the frame to make it work!!

Thats about the best i could do with no light under the fenders, cant see much in there. i just had to bring the sprocket out a little to clear the right rear motor mount when the suspension is fully compressed.

Thanks Bruce. good angles. got to ask you, do you think the relocation has been worth it? any thrown chains since its been on? handling better?

I've got some reinforcement on the frame near the swing arm mount I'm trying this year that will have to be ground away to make this work. trying to figure if its worth it. broke frame or thrown chain..hmm..??

I dont know. I havent had any chain issues since we put it on. I think the chain rubbing the mount just slightly at full compression was my only issue. shimmed the front and rear about a hundred thousandths and so far so good. I cant get any feedback from Jordan if he thinks it helps the balance any. I cant see it hurting though.

This is our cross bar for the nerfs. It was in place before the relocation project. It moved the tranny drain plug right over our bar and we could not get the bolt out. We had to gussett under the tube on both sides, put another bar inside the primary bar and weld it. We had to carve out a section where the drain plug would come out. If your bar sits a little further back than mine it may not be a factor. I wish I would have moved the bar back about a half inch.

Bruce , I think it may be time for Jordan's quad to get a make-over. I will send you a pic of the 2011 "Top Gun" national graphics soon.

Thanks Marc, Thats his old front plastic we trimmed for practice and stuff. I am going to order new plastic before the season starts. We were actually testing to see if he likes the front trimmed. He keeps hitting his knees on the front fenders.

Are the new graphics out yet?...cant wait.
