compression question

how much comp should a stock cylinder have? and how high can i raise it without switching from pump gas???

stock anywhere from 160-180... (if jetted correctly) roughly anything less than 185 can go with pump gas, 190 and above should be looking at higher octane... (what I've read on here...)
