i kw some people say u cant but do u think its alright to run a 13:1 compression piston on pump gas?

i run my 13.5:1 on premium pump havnt had a problem yet

i know multiple other people that do also and one who has 14:1 and havnt had a problem

Go over to Trx450r.org and ask this question theres all kinds of very informational threads that explain why you cant safely. Im not gonna get into all the technical stuff about it but i woudnt run pump gas on anything over 12.5:1

Good luck with that then. Your not getting the full potential out of your motor. Due to the pre-ignition of your pump gas and high comp. That has to be knocking or something. Or it could be your elevation that allows you to get by like this. I dunno. Im no expert on the matter tho so i could be wrong. Whatever works for you id run. =) Good luck

People who claim they are running pump gas, with over 13:1 compression, probably aren't over 13:1 It will be pushing the limits. Good luck!

im at about 3000ft above sea level and it doesnt knock or tick at all

same here never had a problem

she runs alittle cooler and cleaner with 110 in her but doesnt overheat or anything close to that

I run pump 91 on my 13:1 piston i am at 4500 elevation, if i go to sea level i mix some race fuel in there
